Advance sales of tickets for the Velka Pardubice have begun!
Eight months before the runners for this year’s 126th Velka Pardubicka with Česká pojišťovna go to the start, tickets came on sale for the highpoint of this year’s Czech steeplechasing season. Ticket sales, for seats and for entry to the racecourse without a seat, began on February 1st, 2016. There is an interesting discount on tickets bought early in the year for entry without a seat.
Seats for Velka Pardubicka day cost from 250 crowns upwards, according to the position of the grandstand and the type of seat. Basic entry to the course, without a seat, costs 190 crowns, but if the ticket is purchased before the end of April, the cost is just 99 crowns. The second wave of discounts comes to an end in July, when tickets for entry to the course without a seat can be purchased for 149 crowns until the end of the month. Children less than 140 cm tall have free entrance.
“We will distribute about four and a half thousand tickets without a seat in the first wave, and they will continue to be available after that. However, it is recommended to hurry up and purchase grandstand seats. In recent years, the best seats have been snapped up by the end of the summer,” advises Michael Skalický, deputy chairman of the board of Dostihový spolek a.s.. organizers of events at Pardubice racecourse.
Although the racing calendar for the coming horseracing season has not yet been approved by the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic, the date for the 126th running of the Velka Pardubicka with Česká pojišťovna is set. The legendary race will be run on Sunday, October 9th, 2016.
